* THE TOP MANAGEMENT OF NC3A OF NATO PAYS VISIT TO PATROMIL

In the frame of the strategic partnership between PATROMIL and MoD, an official delegation of NC3A led by the General Manager Georges D`Hollander met PATROMIL in Bucharest at PATROMIL`HQ followed by 2 visits to PATROMIL member`s facilities.
Discussions have been held regarding the participation of PATROMIL members, especially SME`s in the NATO programs.

* Romania at Defense&Security Bangkok

Between 2-5 of November in Bangkok will be held one of the most important international defense exhibitions in the region. Romania will have a national stand in Hall 7-8, booth B 17-20, where 7 of the members of PATROMIL will exhibit their products.
The Romanian participation is supported by the Ministry of Economy and Trade on request of PATROMIL.

* Debates on Industry of Defense in the Romanian Parlament

On October 13-rd was held a debate on Industry of Defense in the Romanian Parliament, Human Rights Hall.The leaders of PATROMIL have been invited together with members of the Romanian Parliament, representatives from Ministries, managers from the industry and leaders of Unions afiliated to Meridian Confederation. PATROMIL leaders insisted on the strategic goal of the Romanian industry of defense to be part of the European Defense Technological and Industrial Base and European Defense Equipment Market.

* Poland takes over the Presidency of EU

HE MR. Marek SZCZYGIEL ambassador of Poland in Bucharest organized a reception on the 13-rd of July celebrating the taking over the Presidency of EU by Poland. Has been invited Romanian and Polish personalities from diplomacy, political and culture. The executive director of PATROMIL has been invited as well. HE MR. SZCZYGIEL with a background in defence expressed his willing to participate in september in Bucharest at the international military exhibition organized by Romania. He also promissed to sustain the cooperation between PATROMIL and Polish Chamber of National Defence Manufacturers, in accordance with the Protocol signed in 2004.

* A NEW ECONOMIC BUSINESS MISION OF PATROMIL IN PARIS!

Between 19 -24-th of June 2011, PATROMIL is organizing a new business economic mission in Paris, during the famous Salon Aeronautique Le Bourget. The Mission is organized in partnership with Ministry of Economy, Romanian Embassy in Paris, Commercial Bureau in Marseille. There are already confirmed meetings with the management of DGA France, GICAT, Chamber of Industry and Trade of Toulouse, Airbus Co, Altran and Roxel. Romanian officials will back-up this PATROMIL initiative: HE. Bogdan Mazuru ambassador of Romania in Paris, secretary of state in Ministry of Economy - HE Claudiu Stafie, general director in Ministry of Economy- MR. Razvan Gabriel Toader and a military delegation led by gl. Catalin Adrian Moraru - Head of Department of Armaments.
PATROMIL will be represented by MR. Viorel MANOLE - executive director.

* ECONOMIC MISSION IN TURKEY

PATROMIL is organizing for the first time in it`s history an economic mission in Istambul, between 10 - 13 of May 2011. It is not by accident that the economic mission is simultanously with the defense international exhibition IDEF 2011. A lot of Turkish representative companies will be present in IDEF 2011 and PATROMIL will fulfill its goal of developing the regional cooperation in order to join the EDA and NATO projects. In fact it is a continuation after signing the MOU with Bulgarian Defense Industry Association at the end of 2010.

Within the Strategic Partnership between PATROMIL and MoD, established by signing in October 2010 the Cooperation Memorandum, a Info Day meeting was held on the 5 th of April 2011.PATROMIL members exchanged information and agreed short and medium term priorities with the leaders of MoD.At the meeting participated the chief of Strategic Planing Directorate from the Romanian General Staff, MR. Brigadier General Liviu SERBAN, the Chief of Armaments Department Mr. Brigadier General Catalin MORARU, specialists officers from MoD, leaders from Ministry of Economy,PATROMIL and almost all PATROMIL members.

* The deputy secretary general of NATO met PATROMIL

Gl. lt. Patrick Auroy, deputy for investments of the secretary general of NATO met on the 20-th of December the leaders of the Romanian Minstry of National Defence and Ministry of Economy and Trade. On the 20 -21st of October 2010,the Executive Director of PATROMIL was invited (on a permanent basis) for talks at EDA HQ in Brussels on Code of Best Practices for NDIA\'s. The final draft of the Code includes the last proposals previously requested by PATROMIL in order to allow to its members to participate in the European Co-operative Programs, and most important was agreed by the NAD\'s (National Armaments Directors) in their meeting on 14-th of October 2010 in Brussels.The correct application of the Code will be monitorized by EDA and PATROMIL at the national level

On the 27th and 28th of September, in Varna - Bulgaria was held the first official meeting between PATROMIL and BDIA (Bulgarian Defence Industry Association). The aim is to coordinate both associations actions in NATO, EDA and ASD.
